Angelicus was born in Tuscany in 1395 and was originally called Guido di Pietro. He was the most famous artist of the fifteenth century. Angelikus was ordained a priest in 1423. Most of his works are altarpieces and frescoes that were created for churches, especially for the San Marco Basilica in Florence.
